17 days until Machinima Festival in NY and I’m broke!

With the nominees for the Machinima Festival in New York only being announced a mere 8 days ago and the Fest being held on November 4th-5th, I haven’t had much time to find a sponsor. I wanted to see how Second Life machinimists fared in the nominations before I planned anything. Call me insane, but I just sent over a proposal for an SL panel. I would be moderating and Pierce Portocarrero, among others, would be on the panel.

Why am I crazy? I don’t even have a ticket yet! I’ve already found a place to stay while I’m there, but I just don’t know what to do to get there. My work with Alt-Zoom pays my bills and basic needs, but having just come back from SLCC two months ago, my travel budget is looking very light.

Why do I want to go? It would be *THE* defining moment for me. It would be like attending Oscar Night, only I would have the chance to speak out and make an impact on the machinima community as a whole. Second Life machinima is the future. I feel very strongly about this. I’ve dedicated the last six months eating, breathing, and living machinima.

If anyone has any advice on what to do, please let me know, as I’m seriously starting to panic now. All input is welcome. Thank you in advance for your moral support.
